I Hate It When It Happens...

Yeah...kinda do.... I hate when that "sense of doubt" creeps into my mind. I've kinda had that feeling about this team just before the 1st big road Trip out west. The Hawks were doing a lot of  "winning ugly".... They'd win in OT or they'd win in an exciting shoot out,...but the problem was that they were letting teams get back into the game in the 3rd period. But,...they had that special something that still allowed them to win games....ugly or not...they were still winning.
Then the first West Coast Trip.........OMG The wheels fell off. They started to play well in S.J. but that was after two disastrous games (Calgary and Edmonton).  They regrouped a little bit,......then they went out to the Florida Tip,... and started to do the same crap. Let teams back in games and they weren't finishing.
They didn't learn at all. The second Big Road Trip (or better yet...the 9 game road trip from hell),...started the Hawks getting pulverized by sloppy in net play and even worst defense. their power play was non existent..........and still is to this day.

So, as the Hawks head out to their 3rd west coast swing (L.A. and Anaheim), all without their best player on their team (Jonathan Toews), and also Niklas Hjalmarsson and Steve Montador,... you wonder if they can regroup after a piss poor 3rd period effort from 2 nights ago AT HOME against Dallas.

The worries as a fan continue, as Stan Bowman STILL hasn't pulled the trigger on any deal. Yet, Los Angeles gets Carter from Columbus, and there are teams willing to part with superstars. What is Stan Bowman doing? We know hes getting calls and making calls to strengthen the lineup. But how serious is his effort? We'll find out in a few days as the trading deadline comes to a close. Do the Hawks sit on their hands and do nothing ? We'll find out very shortly. I hope this feeling of uncomfortability about my favorite teams GOES AWAY.  Hawks play LA tonight.
