.... Now, does this translate to the game tonight?
I believe tomorrow night the Hawks snap themselves out of this whole that they so nicely dug themselves into. However, 1 win doesn't make this go away. I , for the first time in over a month, actually "feel" that sense of desperation. Will that translate to their game on the ice? I will be paying heavy attention to a few things tonight that will tell me if they have learned anything from this losing streak. For if they haven't learned anything, then this entire losing streak was for naught. ..................................................................................
1) Blue Liners play. Do they become shut down guys again.
2) Goaltenders. How many soft goals get left in? How many tough plays do they make?..
3) Do they finish off checks?
4) Do players feel "desperate" and feel they must single handedly make plays..
5) Crisp passes. This has been lacking EXTREMELY bad the past month.
6) Does the line-up make sense? To me, this will be on Q,...and I've been critical of him.
7)How effective is their PP and PK tonight?
8)Do the Hawks play with "desperation " or do they play "desperate"? big difference boys !
The rest of the league is pulling away. Detroit just set a team record for their 20th home win in a row. Now, remember when Detroit had their losing streak at the beginning of the season? Wow,... that seems like forever ago , now doesn't it?
