The past few games the Hawks have decided the time to play is the 3rd period. That's better than the beginning of the year when they decided to give up games in the third period. However, it is a little more comforting to the soul if they would just simply win 4-1 or 5-2. Expect another close game again tonight. They're playing a tough Coyotes team that the Hawks generally have trouble with. Mike Smith has been torrid in net and let's say that the Coyotes haven't been "hospitable" to the Hawks the past few years. In addition, this is the 7th game on a road trip. Betters will most likely pick the Coyotes to win this game. Let us hope that Vegas has this wrong. Go Hawks!
* Antti Raanta will get the start in net tonight giving Corey Crawford rest in back-to-back games.
* Steve Konroyd's pick to click: Ben Smith (or someone from the 4th line)...must think this is going to be a defensive battle. Steve has been hot of late. Let's see how good he is tonight.
