2013 Hobey Baker Winner Drew LeBlanc Signs With The Blackhawks

St. Cloud State 23 yr. old centerman, Drew Leblanc signed a one year contract with the Hawks today. Drew won the Hobey Baker award as the best collegiate hockey player this month, and he follows that up with a one year contract with the Chicago Blackhawks.

He shoots he scores....... 6'0" 195 lbs, the Mathematics major from St. Cloud St. just made his first final 4 appearance with a small Division 1 school and he plastered 13G and 37A this year. Drew did play with the USHL Chicago Steel from 2006-8 and he  had 59 pts in 78 games.  This may be the "MAN" they've been looking for. He was the captain of the team, he's bright, and he has his priorities in order. In addition, he's an extremely talented player and one that overcame a serious leg injury  in 2011(fracture) and found his way back to become collegiate's best. Not only did he lead the Huskies in assists, he lead the nation in assists. How about this as a bonus...he was a SCHOLAR-ATHLETE.

I'm liking this kid already. He's going to report to the Hawks. He will be wearing #14. SO,.....here's to you kid. Good luck!!!!
