I don't think that Stan Bowman will even consider a "superstar" or someone that has a large contract. He likes his flexibility in the cap, something he didn't have last year.

Lubomir Visnovsky (D) Ana: Very good defenseman. I'd love to see him in an Indian Head Sweater.
Derek Roy (C) Buf: My guess is the Sabres want too much for him. But, if the Hawks could dump one of their salaries (Frolik) and give a 2nd rounder also...that could work.
Sheldon Souray (D) Dal : He's gotta gun, and the Hawks need that for their despicable PP.
Toni Lydman (D) Ana: A true stay at home defenseman.
Paul Gaustad (C) Buf: Rumor is that Buffalo wants WAY too much for him. Hawks could use this gritty guy. Good at the face off, gritty net grinder.
Matt Carle (D) Phi: With the edition of Paul Kubina,this leaves Carle expendible. $3.4m cap hit though....yikes!!! Maybe we can give them Hjalmarsson. It's a thought.
Johnny Oduya (D) Win: His name has been rumored...and Stan Bowman was in Winnipeg recently. Also,...do you guys remember who their GM is? hmm...this could happen.
Mark Flood (D) Win: This rumor was also given.......Not happy about this rumor. He doesn't help unless you're trading away Lepisto or O'Donnell.
