Pirri sent down again. Jimmy Hayes makes his debut against Wings.

6'6" tall 221 pound forward Jimmy Hayes will make his NHL debut against the Detroit Redwings tomorrow. Carcillo is expected to play. Kruger is questionable.
Which Hawks will sit? John Scott , Bryan Bickell ? The Hawks were not happy with their net presence against the L.A. Kings yesterday, and to be honest, Brandon Pirri didn't look good out there. He made plenty of errant passes and just wasn't fitting in with Sharp and Hossa. Let's see what Jimmy brings to the table.

Hawks were "Quick-ened" to a 2-0 at home loss.

Sometimes, you can play well, you can do the right things and still end up being stymied. That is what happened to night. First,...the two goals that were "allowed" should have been disallowed. There were net infractions on both of them. Corey Crawford was nearly as awesome as Jonathan Quick and was awarded with the #3 star as well as the loss. Poor Corey. The flaw the Hawks had really, was they didn't play 60 minutes of jamming the net. Most of the shots on net Quick was able to see. However, that being said, any other night and the Hawks win this game 4-1 or 5-2. They simply were robbed tonight.....it happens. On to face Detroit. This game would be a nice redemption game.

V-Berg continues his awesome play. Crawford wins again.

Although Sharp and Hossa still grabbed points in this game, the #1 star was Vicktor Stalberg. Puck on his stick a lot this game. He found open space and has learned how to control his speed. Speed is his greatest asset, but developing a shot was his issue. He's found the net a lot lately. Now tied for 4th place on the team with Patrick Kane ( 9 goals), he is annihilating last years pace.

He's played less than half the games from last year and is only 2 points from his all time high of 24 points. He should be able to hit 50 points if he continues his good play.

Hawks became the first team in the NHL this year to reach 50 points.  Crawford stopped 37-38 shots as the #2 star of the game (Hossa #3 star).

Nice to see Bolland on the score sheet. He had 2 assists today. Kane and Toews were left off the score sheet, but as typical, had good games. The Hawks are starting to slow down giving up goals. They no longer are worst in the conference in that regard. 9-1-1 for the month. With a few important games left to go. (Los Angeles and Detroit...both at home).
